Hardscape & Wooden Backdoor Steps

JF Improvements recently completed a Hardscape & Wooden Backdoor Steps Installation Project at a home in Wilmington, DE. The homeowner needed a better solution for their backyard entrance. The old concrete surface was cracked and uneven. Because of that, it was not only hard to walk on but also unsafe. Plus, it made the yard look worn down.

Then, we built a brand-new wooden step using pressure-treated lumber. The wood was chosen because it’s strong and resists rot. It also gave the backyard a warmer, more natural look. We secured the step tightly so it would be sturdy and safe. After that, we treated the wood so it could handle rain, heat, and everyday use without wearing down too quickly.

Next, we improved the small patio area around the step. We focused on neat edges, clean lines, and a layout that matched the rest of the yard. This made the entrance look well-designed and welcoming. It also gave the homeowner more space to enjoy outside.
